Mr. Shaw's middle school civics class heard from community leaders in the local judicial, legislative and executive branches of government. Ninth Judicial Circuit Judge Bob LeBlanc explained the important role judges play in our society. Orlando City Commissioner Patty Sheehan described her role and her passion for the difference local leaders make in their community - and described her championship for CFLA where each student is challenged to find their own unique potential and develop their leadership skills. Kyle Shephard from Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer's office, and the city's chief lobbyist, described for the students how ideas become laws.
